What is Cupping Therapy?
What is Cupping Therapy ?
This tried-and-true therapy has been around for thousands of years dating back to as far as 3000 B.C.
Over the past few years cupping has become incredibly popular from pro athletes to stay at home parents.
Cupping therapy creates physical space over areas of pain or discomfort allowing your body to release tension and stagnated blood.
How it works
Your therapist will apply the cups via suction through either manual pump or fire.
This creates a vacuum seal causing stagnant blood to rise to the surface allowing blood to flow freely.
The stagnant blood will remain at the surface to be filtered out of your body through the skin and lymph system.
When paired with massage, cupping therapy can help expedite the healing process and allow for a higher quality massage.
