Garrett Okun D.C.

Dr. Garrett Okun is a licensed chiropractor whose passion for chiropractic care began at birth—literally. Born to two chiropractors who graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1987, Dr. Garrett received his first adjustment just 30 minutes after entering the world and has remained under consistent chiropractic care ever since.

Inspired from a young age, Dr. Garrett witnessed remarkable recoveries while growing up in his parents' clinic, including paralyzed animals regaining mobility. These formative experiences shaped his deep respect for the healing power of chiropractic and sparked his lifelong calling to serve others through this profession.

He began working in his parents' office at just 14 years old and has remained active in the chiropractic field throughout his life. Dr. Garrett earned his undergraduate degree in Pre-Professional Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in North Carolina, where he also minored in Healthcare Management and Psychology. It was there that he met the love of his life, Leah.

Following his passion, Dr. Garrett pursued his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University. After graduation, he returned to work alongside his parents while Leah completed her own chiropractic studies. During this time, Dr. Garrett cared for patients across the lifespan—from newborns to 98-year-olds—including NCAA and professional athletes.

Dr. Garrett utilizes a variety of chiropractic techniques to create customized care plans for each individual. He is experienced in treating a wide range of conditions involving the spine and extremities, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. He is excited and honored to serve the Flagstaff community and surrounding areas.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Leah, and living life to the fullest through his many outdoor passions—including snowboarding, mountain biking, skateboarding, and surfing. He also stays active playing basketball, soccer, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, golf, and hiking.

In July 2024, Dr. Garrett and Dr. Leah welcomed their greatest adventure yet: their baby boy, Sage. He received his first adjustment from his father just three hours after birth to address neck tension (torticollis) following a long labor. Parenthood has been the most transformative and joyful chapter of their lives.

Matthew Taormina LMT

Hello, my name is Matthew! I’ve been practicing massage therapy since 2015. The combination of massage and strength training resolved lifelong chronic pain for me. Which has inspired me to learn as much as I can to help others achieve the same. I mostly practice a blend of soothing Swedish massage with myofascial therapies, including cupping and (IASTM)Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. I am also a certified personal trainer/human movement specialist, so after assessing your tension patterns, I will be able to prescribe corrective exercises to make our results sustainable and progressive.
